The Standards
I can't recall ever having made a list of things that I have to have and have to not have in a woman. I got thinking about this when I read nightcometh's list for men, and though I had no trouble agreeing with her, I don't know what the hard lines are. I could make a list of preferences, I'm sure, but I'd honestly be happy with pretty much anyone who would love me. Some of you have a lot of relational experience, know me well, or both. What do you think? What things should I absolutely say no to, and what things should I absolutely require?
PS- Haha, this makes it sound as if there's a long list of applicants I need to narrow down, but that just isn't the case. I'm so alone.

Don't say yes to someone who you can't trust.
Hmm can't say much on this. I don't really know you so...
Yeah.. give me a bit to think on this.
hmmm....don't know you that well, but i would i would agree with @JadedJanissary - trust is a huge thing and if you can't trust the person you love, then there's not much to hope for (in my opinion).
All you need is love ;)
Yeah, I'm this way too. I tried to think of my "type" a while ago and looking at the three girlfriends I've had, there are almost no similarities.
I'd say for you, someone who can appreciate a good joke, but also really corny and lame ones (some people don't like those. Can you believe it?). Someone who has similar financial habits to you, and who is into all that really sappy lovey dovey type stuff. Also, someone dad will like because it will make things so much easier. But really, he won't care as long as she's nice and he doesn't think she's a socialist.
Oh, and Ryan says you should get a girlfriend who is arab so she can fight with my Israeli one.
lol but i want standards for you... I've seen too many great guys end up with awful girls because the nice ones are the only people who would tolerate them. That isn't right.
haha I should go study for my tests and such before I get on my soapbox about how ridiculous some people can be.Personally, whenever I stop looking, someone finds me. Either I need to be looking so I can get rid of them, or I need to be able to break up a whole lot faster despite my lack of flaking out on.... anyone relationship wise anyway. *sigh* It's a wait and see thing right now.
No girls with tattoos. No girls who like to party. No girls who are off-the-wall and spontaneous to a fault. No girls who lie. No girls who get drunk.
Someone who appreciates corny jokes and has an equal YouTube obsession. Someone patient, because you like to get on a roll sometimes and it's really hard to stop you! lol. Someone okay with some level of not knowing about your life (although come next April, that won't be an issue *high five*)... someone obsessive about education and learning and nerdy shit.
Frankly, Boozle, I would wait to go looking for anyone til we get to Portland. How sad would it be to find a lovely girl in Georgia and then end up leaving? Never sacrifice your goals in life for another person (that's my big life lesson from the last 4 years of my life)...
I wuv youuuuuuu, see you in a couple of days!
I agree with Magzilla. What's in Portland?
@StewieIsMyHero - Portland State University is there, and I'd love to attend. Also, I'm just falling in love with the city as a whole from what I've read on it.
Ohh okay. Cool!
Just say whatever comes to mind...! These lists are mostly for fun anyways, rather than ruling people out!
We all know that there are almost always exceptions to the rule
@a_drunken_cellist - Actually, mine's not just for fun. I want to come up with the lines that I shouldn't cross.
Hey we are the Standards!
You should absolutely say yes to me.
@s_a_r_a_h_1 - Oh? Well, I'd love to get to know you.
